At the age of 12, Coach Taye started figuring out ways to be better, both on and off the field. He always had confidence in his play because he was preparing to be the best player that he was able to be. The most valuable player is what we train to be. We understand that every athlete does not have the mentality of being #1. Not because they don't want to be #1, but they are just unsure how to get there. That's when we come in and take you through the different styles of athletic training, and walking you precisely through the steps to be the most valuable at your position.
We want you to master the mindset and everything else will fall into place, through speed, agility, footwork, quickness, strength, and confidence.
Every 6 weeks athletes will be evaluated for body weight and body fat percentages. We will also test for the following: the 10-20-40 yard dash sprint, L-pro agility drill, pro-shuttle, vertical/broad jumping, left lateral foot speed, right lateral foot speed , 10-yard change of direction shuffle, circle agility drill, 100lb, 135lb,185lb, 225lb bench press (depending on age).
We want to keep track of athletes results, as it’s important for athletes to know their body changes. Since we all are genetically built different, knowing these measurements during training phases will keep athletes updated on their changes. This will motivate the athlete to push themselves further, and will allow us to make adjustments in their workout so they can reach their desired goal.
Rest and recovery is just as important as training. Weekly we will take the athletes through a release flush out to repair the mini muscle tears within the muscle. This is normal when training at a high intensity level. This causes tight muscles, a burning sensation feeling, muscle fatigue, muscle soreness, or muscle pain. Athletes can suffer from this and this is why it's important to do bodywork, stretching and hands-on massage.

First off I want to thank you for being such a great mentor to my boys. They look up to you as a great trainer, division 1 athlete and leader. I see they have gained confidence in their craft and I appreciate you working so hard with them one on one.

My friend recommended Taye and I am so glad she did. I booked a session for my 8 year old to work on his coordination and feel more confident with his athletic abilities so he can feel good about playing team sports. My son has spent way too much time in front of his computer this last year and it was so refreshing to see him outside working hard for an hour! Taye was so patient and sweet with him. My name is Laura Merritt and would like to share my experience with an exceptional trainer, Taye Johnson.
After sustaining a tragic bus / cycling accident in my 20’s with a multitude of injuries, it was rather difficult finding a knowledgeable trainer beyond physical therapy, and usually found myself hurt and frustrated.
One day I came into the gym for my two training sessions at which time met Taye Johnson. I listened and had no expectations other then what I would be taught, and to my amazement found an extremely knowledgable & intelligent young man. He listened to everything i shared regarding my injuries and when I was not able to do something it was improvised.
I found Taye creative in his workouts provided and have not been able to feel the muscle burn I so loved in many many years; without physical pain. Taye is extremely attentive, personable, approachable and excellent motivator in getting the results i wanted in the least amount of pain.
I can see Taye moving on to a profession in Physical Therapy as he has the knowledge and drive to succeed. Most importantly an incredible personality.

Training with Coach Taye has drastically changed my daughter's confidence and performance on the soccer field. Coach Taye has made significant improvements in my daughter's strength, agility, speed and body mechanics.
